Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police Maiyaki Muhammed Baba, representing Inspector-General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, handed over cheques totaling forty-two million, one hundred and sixty-three thousand, six hundred and eighty-six naira, twelve kobo (#42,163,686.12) to twenty families of fallen and injured police officers.

In a police press release signed by DSP Ramhan Nansel send to journalist on Thursday stated that the emotional ceremony took place as part of the initiative by the Inspector-General of Police Group Personal Accident and Group Life Assurance.
