A member, representing Awe North constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon Hudu A.Hudu, has distributed N20,000 each to 147 students of his constituency studying in various institutions as a scholarship.

This is even as he distributed N10,000 each to 33 students to register for JAMB. The lawmaker, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, equally presented seven vehicles to groups and individuals in his constituency.

Hudu made the distribution on Saturday in Awe, Awe Local Government Area of the State, saying that the gesture was borne out of his desire to improve the lives of the people of his constituency.

The lawmaker said that the scholarship and JAMB were meant to complement the government’s efforts in improving the standard of education and to also reduce the burden of education on the parents of the beneficiaries.

The legislator assured the people of his constituents of more dividends of democracy. “I will continue to initiate more projects and programmes that will  have a direct bearing on the lives of my people

 “By God’s grace, I will continue to do my best in providing the much-needed dividends of democracy to my people,” Hudu said.

Dr Emmanuel Akabe, the Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, lauded the lawmaker for putting smiles on the faces of his people.

“The time of election is over as it is now time for governance that is why His Excellency is providing more dividends of democracy to the people of the state,” he said.
