In a significant move aimed at revolutionizing the transportation landscape in Nasarawa State, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule’s administration has unveiled the state-of-the-art “Nasarawa Luxury Ride” buses.
This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to alleviating economic hardships and enhancing the quality of life for residents, as stated by Hon. Peter Ahemba, Senior Special Assistant (Public Affairs) to the Governor.
“These buses signify a milestone in our efforts to address the high cost of road transportation and improve the overall commuting experience for our citizens,” stated Ahemba. “The introduction of these modern vehicles underscores the administration’s dedication to providing efficient and comfortable transportation solutions.”
To ensure optimal management and service delivery, the State Government has partnered with Mash, a renowned transportation company. This collaboration aims to streamline operations and maintain the highest standards of service for passengers.
Equipped with advanced technology and ergonomic interiors, the Nasarawa Luxury Ride buses are tailored to meet the diverse needs of commuters. “These buses are designed with inclusivity in mind, catering to the needs of all segments of society, including the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and families travelling with children,” emphasized Ahemba.
The launch ceremony, held at the Yahaya Sabo Bus Terminal in Lafia, formally introduced the new buses. Governor Sule, represented by the State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Adamu Gosho, highlighted the significance of this development in enhancing connectivity and accessibility within the state.
“This marks the beginning of a new era of improved transportation infrastructure and services,” remarked Governor Sule. He urged citizens to embrace the transformation and support the new public transportation system, which offers subsidized fares, reduced travel times, increased comfort, and improved reliability.
Ahemba reiterated the administration’s commitment to exceeding expectations and called on residents and visitors alike to embrace the Nasarawa Luxury Ride as a symbol of progress and development in the state.
