Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has denied any government involvement in the establishment of the Fulani Vigilante Group within the state.

Governor Sule emphasised that if such an initiative had originated from the government, it would have been presented as a bill to the State Assembly for consideration.

During a courtesy visit by members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, led by Speaker Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau on Monday to congratulate him on his Supreme Court victory, Governor Sule reiterated his administration’s commitment to fostering peace within the state.

He highlighted ongoing investigations by security agencies into the matter, asserting, “We refused to be part of it because it was purely issues of the security agencies.”
