Atalanta BC wants around €45 million for Ademola Lookman, which Napoli consider too expensive.
It has now been reported by The Repubblica that Napoli is confident it can deliver the reigning African Player of the Year to coach Antonio Conte for €45 million
It was further gathered that Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis and his Atalanta counterpart, Percassi have been on this particular transfer.
The Napoli President is big fan of Ademola Lookman and both sports director Giovanni Manna and coach Antonio Conte are also admirers.
Contacts between the two clubs have been on for the past few months.
Atalanta insists on €60 million, but Napoli argues that that is asking too much for a player who will soon be 28.
The delayed AFCON will also be staged in December and the Napoli President is not a great fan of the tournament, as it will take away his African stars away at a critical time of the season.
