Italian Tattoo artist, Alberto Marzari has drawn a picture of late football icon, Diego Armando Maradona gifting Super Eagles red-hot striker, Victor Osimhen the Serie A title win divine role as ‘God and Adam’ painted by Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel ceiling at the Vatican.

The Sistine Chapel is the large papal chapel built within the Vatican between 1477 and 1480 by Pope Sixtus IV, for whom the chapel is named. The ceiling was painted at the commission of Pope Julius II.

This represents the divine that touches the human, the passage from one hand to another of a dream that is turning into reality.

Marzari, a tattoo artist with almost 80, 000 followers on social media app, Instagram has also tattooed well-known faces from the world of football, on the arm of Saverio Corleto, an avid Napoli fan.

There is a relationship between the two that has lasted for a long time: “We teased each other for a long time about our football faiths,” says Corleto, who lives in Basilicata and is a die-hard fan of Napoli.

“Last year I told Marcello, an Inter fan, that sooner or later he would have to tattoo me something from Naples, like Victor Osimhen, Saverio’s protege.

“Until last year the Nigerian had won at most a few player of the month awards and Marcello made fun of me about it.  Slowly, continuing with his game, the Nigerian is about to win something and we arrived at this idea.”

And so close to the third Scudetto in the club’s history, which could arrive at the end of this week, Alberto was given carte blanche by his friend and client and indelibly stamped this marvel on his friend’s arm-the final result is inspired by the iconic and almost divine role that Maradona has in Naples, in correspondence with the famous painting. We also had plans to add something iconic to the landscape, but we were afraid it might get too tacky. This is a handover in the history of Napoli.
