It was a fun-filled evening as Afrobeats stars and Glo ambassadors, Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka, and Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, also known as Kizz Daniel, as well as Wande Coal, serenaded staff and guests that graced the high-octane party, themed: ‘Twenty and Unlimited’, organised by the digital solutions provider, Globacom, in celebration of its long-serving employees. The lavish shindig, held last Saturday at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos was part of Globacom’s 20th anniversary celebration. A total of 89 staff members, who had worked for the company from inception in 2003, were rewarded with several millions of naira.
Speaking at the event, Executive Vice Chairman of Globacom, Mrs. Bella Disu, expressed her gratitude and that of the company’s board and management to the awardees for their contributions and loyalty in the last 20 years.
While encouraging them to keep pushing for greater heights, she also lauded the various business units in the company for team efforts.
According to Disu, the need to reward and encourage the staff to keep striving for excellence, underscored the essence of the party.
“This year, I want us to move forward with even greater zeal and energy than we had in our first two decades. And I want you to know without a doubt that your work is the foundation and key to our future. This year, we are committed not only to our company’s growth, but also to your individual success. We will work tirelessly to increase value for you, our staff, and all our subscribers and stakeholders. This is our promise to you. Thank you for twenty years. Together, we are good and together we are unlimited,” she declared.
