The Nigerian Air Force said it has commenced investigations into the air accident involving one of its fighter planes in Yola, Adamawa state.

A statement from the force said none of the two occupants of the aircraft died or sustained injuries, especially as the aircraft veered off the runway shortly after its return from Sambisa forest where it had conducted an attack.

The statement from NAF spokesman Group Captain Ayodele Famuyiwa  said ” the aircraft, I on landing, veered off the runway and stopped at a ditch beside the runway. No life was lost as both’ pilots on board came out unhurt. Investigation into Uie cause of the incident is ongoing.”
