Gwan Moko’s musical roots run deep. Growing up in a family of eight, his childhood was steeped in music. His father’s music store, a hub for local artistes, and his mini-record label provided a fertile ground for young Gwan’s musical development. “Music was more than just a sound. It was a gateway to spiritual growth, a comfort, a language,” he said.
By the age of eight, his passion was undeniable, fueled by a deep fascination with melodies and lyrics. His latest project, “Freedom,” released last year, further solidifies his position as an artiste of depth and versatility. The EP, featuring tracks like “Gratitude,” “Ebenezer,” “Love,” “Jojo,” and “Spirit Lead,” takes listeners on an intimate journey of survival and liberation. Each song carries a powerful message of emotional healing and breaking free from societal constraints.
