The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has approved the nomination of three additional commissioner-nominees in the second list of prospective Members of the State Executive Council.
In a statement on Monday by the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Mr Gyang Bere said the development came after extensive consultations with key stakeholders across the State.
The newly nominated Commissioners consist of the former House of Assembly Candidate for Jos North-North State Constituency in the 2023 general elections, Hon. Bashir Lawandi Datti from Jos North LGA, Dr Cletus Shurkuk from Pankshin LGA and Mrs Jamila Tukur from Qua’an Pan LGA” respectively.
The statement reads in the path, “Plateau State Governor, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has approved the nomination of more Commissioners after extensive consultations with key stakeholders across the State.
“The newly nominated Commissioners are as follows: Bashir Lawandi Datti – Jos North, Dr Cletus Shurkuk- Pankshin, Mrs Jamila Tukur – Qua’an Pan.”
Governor Mutfwang had already submitted 16 commissioner-nominees to the Plateau State House of Assembly for confirmation in accordance with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as Amended, making a total of 19 commissioner-nominees.
