Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has approved a minor reshuffle of his cabinet.
Governor Mutfwang, in a statement, signed by Director of Press Affairs, Gyang Bere said that the exercise was to enhance effective service delivery to citizens of the state.
Under the new dispensation, the current Commissioner for Water Resources and Energy, Hon. Noel Nkup, will now serve as the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development.
Similarly, Bashir Lawandi Datti, eho previously held the position of Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, has been reassigned as the Commissioner for Water Resources and Energy.
Meanwhile the governor has also approved the appointment of Mr. Stephen Pam Gadong as the Acting Head of Civil Service, Plateau State. The appointment takes effect from 26th August, 2024.
This follows the retirement of Barr. Mrs. Rauta Joshua Dakok, who reached the mandatory retirement age of 60 on 24th August, 2024. Mr. Gadong, who previously served as Permanent Secretary, Cabinet, and Special Services, will be sworn in by the Governor on a date to be announced.
He expressed his profound appreciation to Mrs. Dakok for her dedication and commitment to quality reforms in the civil service.
He commended Mrs Dakok for her steadfast support in ensuring effective service delivery that has significantly contributed to the growth and development of Plateau State.
