On Wednesday, MTN customers were unable to access communication services for hours, leaving them stranded.

The telco consumers’ ability to make calls, send texts, or use the Internet was disrupted by the hours-long network shutdown, which started around noon and lasted for several hours.

Many also complained of how the network downtime affected their ability to make online bank transfers and pay for goods and services.

Some of the customers took to their X handles to express their grievances.

@Yemisikolaa wrote: “I can’t make calls with my mtn line for over an hour now.

“This Telcos are trying so hard to contribute their own quota to successfully frustrating Nigerians.”

Another user, @SirHenz said: “As much as I love using MTN. I must complain and say this right now. Your network has been very terrible for a while now.
