Michelin Tyre Services, has reaffirmed its commitment to the Nigerian market and its valued Partners, reiterating its focus on ensuring smooth delivery of quality tyres and services to its customers. 

 

This was disclosed by the Managing Director, Michelin Nigeria, Mrs. Chioma Alonge to stakeholders and partners during the outfit Dinner Night held last weekend in Ikeja, Lagos.

 

Speaking at the event, Alonge who dispelled rumours of the company’s departure from Nigeria, unfolded her product will never lose its usual quality while stating all hands are on deck in maintaining the image of the product before competitors.

 

In her words: “We appreciate Michelin stakeholders every year, and the reason we do this is to show them our heartfelt appreciation for their support and trust. We bring them together because our success is a shared accomplishment.

I’m also glad to dispelled rumours of the company’s departure from Nigeria. The manufacturing plant in Port Harcourt was closed in 2007 due to unfavorable conditions. We’ve been operating since the past six decades and out commitment to the Nigerian market remains unwavering.”

In a similar vein, The Beyond Road Sales Director for Africa-Middle East-India, Ferreol Tournebize also highlighted the importance of the dealer network, stating their focus is customer-centred. He further stressed Michelin’s expertise and coverage goes beyond tyres, encompassing a broader range of products and a deep concern for road safety in Africa.

 

Meanwhile, Assistant Director at Standard Organization of Nigeria, Dr Ganiyat Olusola Adebayo, urged end users and dealers to use and sell certified tyres, even as she enumerated the signs and dimensions of tyres that are good for Nigerian roads while Deputy Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, Dr. Akpabio Nseobong Charles, in his contribution charged dealers to also ensure that the end users of tyres are adequately attended to, and the necessary measures taken to ensure safety.
