A book, Learn Data Analysis Using Python in 24 Hours: A Beginner’s Guide, has been launched, in the aim of simplifying Python programming and data analysis techniques for newcomers.
At the book launch in Lagos recently, the author, Maxwell Nzekwe, an enterprising technology specialist with expertise in Artificial Intelligence and cyber security, said the book is a practical hands-on material designed to build confidence in learners.
Nzekwe explained that the book is “centered on helping beginners unlock the power of data analysis through Python. It is a well structured informational book that helps to demystify data analysis, concepts, provide step-by-step guidance and include practical projects to ensure my readers can apply what they learn immediately. My goal towards this project is to bridge the gap between the theoretical and practical application.
“It is a practical, no-fluff guide for beginners, professionals transitioning into tech and anyone who wants to extract insights from data without spending months stuck in theory. It’s written with the learner in mind–straightforward, clear and project-oriented.”
Nzekwe, who is a tech enthusiast, an entrepreneur, a passionate educator and co-founder of Talnts App, a platform aimed at empowering content creators and startups, noted that his motivation for writing the book is “to empower others and to contribute to the growing ecosystem of African tech talent with tools that actually work. So whether you’re in business, finance, engineering, academia or tech, this book was written for you.”
He said his foray into data analysis began “during one of the most disruptive periods of our time, the COVID-19 pandemic”, which compelled him to “reflect on the future of work and the skills that would remain relevant no matter the circumstance.”
Speaking on the relevance of the subject matter of the book, data analysis, to everyday life, the author said, “It is not just a tech skill, it’s a thinking skill, a tool that every business, professional and decision-maker needs in this data-driven age.”
