Makinde hailed for achievements by journalists

To induct him as Grand Patron July 8

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has commended the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, for his people-oriented policies and programs.

The NUJ’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, held in Ibadan on June 21, 2024, applauded the governor’s achievements in the state. The meeting, presided over by NUJ President, Chief (Dr.) Chris Isiguzo, MFR, appreciated Governor Makinde for hosting the NEC meeting successfully and urged him to sustain the tempo of development in the state.

In recognition of his contributions to the development of Oyo State, the NUJ resolved to confer its Grand Patron award on Governor Makinde on July 8, 2024, in Ibadan.

During the visit, the NUJ President led other NEC members on a tour of some state government projects, including the Circular road and Challenge Terminals, among others.
