TV veteran turned politician and one of the conveners of the #savesadiqdabaproject, Mabel Oboh paid a condolence visit to the widow of fallen thespian and Cock Crow at Dawn star, Sadiq Abubakar Daba yesterday, March 7.

Oboh who arrived the residence of the late thespian in Lagos in company of members of her staff told the Sun Newspapers that she had known the fallen thespian for well over 30 years and had a cordial relationship with his family.

Oboh said: “My condolence goes to the Sadiq family and especially his wife, Bolaji Daba who is defiantly going through a rough time right now. The visit brought back a lot of good memories. I have known Bolaji Daba almost as long as I knew Sadiq. Bolaji is no doubt a fantastic woman with a heart of gold. I was glad to see her holding on well. Her children and family were all with her and an endless stream of well wishers have been trouping in and out of their residence. A great broadcaster of our time, it is as if Sadiq went on a journey. Unfortunately, this time around he will never return. To be honest, it will take time for those of us really close to the family to accept that our Sadiq Daba is truly gone.
