Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu, has challenged his aides to redouble their efforts so they could collectively surpass their achievements by 2026.

He made the charge during an event organised by the Forum of Special Assistants with the theme, ‘People First in Action – The journey thus far.’

Speaking through Senator Stephen Odey, Governor Otu said: “I want to use this opportunity to enjoin all Cross Riverians, particularly the Forum of Special Assistants to redouble our efforts so that in 2026, we can surpass the achievements recorded.

“The success of this administration depends solely on all that you have done to drive this administration to this level. The best is yet to come and by the end of this administration, Cross River State will never remain the same,”  the governor said.

He thanked his aides for their contributions to the success of his administration and stressed that the interest of the state is paramount. In his address, Andrea Ekeng, chairman, Forum of Special Assistants, Cross River State, said the gathering aimed to celebrate a leader who has not just sat in office but has stood with the people.
