Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi is expected to make his dream transfer to Spanish LaLiga topside, Barcelona at the end of his contract.

His English Championship club, Leicester City has pencilled down 23-year-old offensive midfielder, Matt O’Riley as his replacement as the club needs transfers to happen to be able to fund a move for O’Riley from Celtic.

O’Riley would certainly look at Leicester as a step up, having half a season to adjust and be sure to take an important role when Leicester return to the best party.

A fee of £25million is said to be what it takes to bring the former Fulham and MK Dons recruit to Leicester. He made his move to Celtic in 2022, and has since shown great form, playing for Ange Postecouglu and Brendan Rodgers as he has gained great experience.

The link to Leicester is obvious, with fellow Danes, Jannik Vestergaard and Mads Hermansen very much part of the settlement under Enzo Maresca. It would also bring him closer to home as he earlier had a life playing in Milton Keynes.

This could of course open for a final goodbye to Ndidi.

A fee of £15million could see the Nigerian on the move to Camp Nou this January.

Ndidi (26) has been in good form for Leicester this campaign, but for the player who joined the Foxes in January 2017, no one would blame him for making a dream move to Barcelona.
