The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) recently inducted 47 new members charging them to pay attention to the integrity of their business transactions and practices, environment, climate actions and social sustainability.
President of the chamber, Gabriel Idahosa who gave the charge during the third induction of new organisations in 2025, enjoined them to be committed to the core principles of high ethical standards, global best practices and responsible corporate citizenship, noting that the chamber has a code of business ethics to which all members must to subscribe.
“This is the third this year 2025, we use this occasion to formally induct worthy businesses that meet the criteria to become members of the prestigious LCCI.”
Welcoming the inductees into the oldest chamber of commerce and industry in west Africa sub region, the LCCI boss noted that the chamber has remained the leading voice of the private sector through its sustained public policy advocacy, stakeholders engagement and trade promotion activities .
He pointed out that the chamber has dedicated resources and energy to consistently promote and protect private enterprises development, commercial and industry activities to foster global competitiveness of the Nigerian economy.
“As we formally induct your companies into the LCCI family, I wish to emphasis the commitment of the chamber to cherished tradition of high ethical standards, innovation, continuous improvement, integrity and good corporate governance in the business space.
“ The chamber has been reinforced to continue to consistently provide services that meet the needs and expectations of our valued customers and esteemed stakeholders to catalyse private enterprise and organisations to achieve full potential in terms of sustainable growth and global competitiveness.”
He asked them to position their businesses to benefit optimally from the specially designed initiatives and programmes of the chambers.
