Ladies in Sports International (LIS), Africa’s premier platform dedicated to advancing women in sports, proudly announces its 10th Anniversary
Summit—an inspiring two-day celebration of a decade of progress, purpose, and empowerment. The landmark event will take place on June 12–13, 2025, at the Balmoral Event Centre, Oregun, Lagos.
Since its inception, LIS has remained at the forefront of championing gender inclusion, capacity building, and visibility for women in sports across Nigeria and beyond. The 2025 Summit will spotlight key achievements over the past ten years while charting a bold path for the future.
The event will welcome distinguished guests including Nkechi Obi, Chairperson of the Nigerian Women’s Football League Board, officials from the Nigerian Cricket Federation, and members of Nigeria’s historic U-19 Women’s Cricket Team.
Speaking on the milestone event, Bridget Oyefeso-Odusami, Head of Marketing and Communications at Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC, stated:

In ten years, LIS has empowered hundreds of women through training, exposure, and direct support—including awarding grants to over 20 promising female athletes. The summit remains a flagship platform for education, storytelling, and visibility in women’s sports.
