A delegation of the Kosofe Chamber of Commerce and Industry paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Cooperative and Industry.
The delegation which was led by the Founder/President of Kosofe Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Joe Femi-Dagunro, had Mr. Jide Aremo, Chairman, Supreme Microfinance Bank, Architect Olufemi Fabuyi and Mr. Abayomi Baruwa, DG, Kosofe Chamber of Commerce and Industry in attendance.
In a press release sent to Daily Sun, Dr Aina referenced Chambers of Commerce as being agents of business growth, development and platforms for the business community to proffer proactive actions for businesses to thrive.
The statement partly reads: “Dr. Aina welcomed the delegation and expressed his happiness on the re-union with the President Kosofe Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Joe Femi-Dagunro after their last meeting in Germany where he facilitated the training of Nigerian medical Doctors.
“He also recalled the support of Mr. Femi-Dagunro when he facilitated hospital equipment for Lagos state hospitals which he championed as donations.
“He referenced Chambers of Commerce as being agents of business growth, development and platforms for business community to proffer pro-active actions for businesses to thrive. He advised the Chamber’s delegation to organize events and activities that can bring about exposure and recognition of business potentials in the state.”
While reacting, Joe Femi-Dagunro, “thanked Dr. Aina for his warm reception and informed the host on the essence of the establishment of Kosofe Chamber of Commerce and Industry and solicited assistance and partnership of the Ministry to develop and promote a viable economic growth in the region.
He enjoined the Ministry to carry along the Chamber in her advocacy programmes and economic policies that affect the SMEs in the State and the region in particular.
He used the opportunity of the visit to inform the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Oluwagbemiga Aina of the upcoming Kosofe Economic Dialogue that is scheduled for Thursday, September 26, 2024.
