At the Fourth Degree Investiture Ceremony of the Knights of St. Mulumba Nigeria (KSM) held in Lagos on Saturday, the Supreme Knight, Dr. Charles Mbelede appealed for national security reform.
He called on the government to recalibrate its security architecture to create a safer environment where citizens could live and work freely.
The event marked a major milestone in the lives of over 200 knights who were promoted to the Fourth Degree, the highest rank in the Order.
Dr. Mbelede emphasised that in KSM Nigeria, promotions are not given by favour but earned through years of committed service and success in rigorous examinations.
He reminded the newly invested knights and ladies that their new status comes with great responsibility.
Lady Anthonia Ngozi Obuh, Noble President of the Ladies of St. Mulumba Nigeria, praised the dedication of those being honoured. She described the Fourth Degree as the pinnacle of service within the Order, reached only after consistent and selfless commitment.
Dr. Mbelede highlighted the unique structure of the KSM as a family order, which includes knights, ladies, and youth working together under one constitution. This unity, he explained, strengthens the mission of the Order: to defend the Catholic faith and promote a culture of service, integrity, and spiritual leadership across generations.
