Lagos socialite, Kingsley Ogboso is the brain behind True Heroes Awards, a social initiative which celebrates Nigerians who have made outstanding philanthropic contributions towards nation building and people empowerment but are most times unrecognized for their efforts. The maiden edition of THA themed Unsung Heroes held on November 25th, 2016 honoured over 40 extra-ordinary Nigerians, leaders and brands for their remarkable contributions to society and exemplary services in nation building.
The categories of the award include goodwill, selfless public services, restoring hope and rebuilding trust among Nigerians while also reigniting the passion for citizenship and patriotism. Top brands like Coca-Cola, Access Bank Plc, Reckitt Benckiser, MTN, Sodium Brand Solutions, Rack Centre, SPAN, and Bond & Templers all supported the initiative and ensured a smooth sail.
The 2017 edition is around the corner and 20 selfless Nigerians who have served humanity will be celebrated and showcased to the world as True Nigerian Heroes. True Heroes Awards 2.0 will take place on July 22nd 2017 at Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island. It promises to be bigger and better with gifts, lucky dip giveaways and so much more.
Special guests include Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, Chioma Orakwe, Daysman Wogiren Oyakhilome and Bankole Williams while ICE and Sister Wisdom will perform at the event.
