The Executive Chairman of Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruk Yaro-Enabo, has disclosed that the agency have done everything to ensure the airlifting of 3,800l today Friday for 2025 Hajj exercise with 100 percentages basic requirements for it’s pilgrims ready.
Enabo who stated this while he received the newly-elected state officials of the Correspondents’ Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) who were on a courtesy visit to his office in Birnin Kebbi, solicited for their support through out the Hajj exercise.
He noted that there was need for close collaboration with journalists to ensure successful operations of the Hajj and observed that the media remained a veritable tool for effective and efficient information dissemination.
Enabo recalled that Kebbi was adjudged the best pilgrims agency in terms of everything during the 2024 Hajj exercise which earned the agency three different awards in 2024.
“We want to maintain the tempo. As I am talking now, we are over 90 per cent prepared for the 2025 Hajj exercise. We have secured basic travelling allowance (BTA) for our intending pilgrims 100 per cent; visas are almost 100 per cent ready and yellow cards almost completed, among other preparations,” he said.
The executive chairman assured that his doors would always be opened for possible suggestions and advice on ways to take the agency to next level of development.
He appreciated Governor Nasir Idris for providing an enabling environment to the agency to operate smoothly for the betterment of intending pilgrims from the state which he said culminated in the huge success recorded by the present leadership of the agency.
Earlier, the Correspondents’ Chapel Chairman, Alhaji Kabiru Amiru-Wurma, told the executive chairman that they were ready to work hand-in-hand with the agency and congratulated Enabo for introducing different innovations which had transformed not only the agency but also its workforce for effective and efficient service delivery.
