The governor’s wife, represented by Special Adviser on Women Affairs to the Governor, Hajia Fatima Sani Udu said the gesture was a clear testimony that the resources of Kebbi State belonged to all indigenes of the State irrespective of religious inclination.
She said, “This such assistance would be a continuous process in furtherance of the fulfilment of the campaign promises of her husband to help the people in all nooks and crannies of Kebbi State without recourse to sentiment.”
In his remarks, the State coordinator of Nasara Foundation, Abdulrasheed Bala said a total sum of N8.3 million was shared among 830 Christian widows in the area while the organizers of the programme benefited with N2 million as equal empowerment.
