Kano State Police Command has arrested over 35 suspected armed robbers with illicit drugs. Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, said: “The command arrested some of the hoodlums in various hideouts. The public and other stakeholders are working with the police to flush out hoodlums from our midst. We have a good relationship with the public.

“Police intelligence operatives arrested 33 suspected thugs (Yan Daba) with dangerous weapons and illicit drugs. Ten suspected kidnappers were arrested and a ransom of N4.8 million recovered from them in Gabasswa LG.

“The command has trained officers in cyber security and anti-corruption. We launched a specialised capacity-building training programme for officers and personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Prosecution. This is in line with the directives of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, on the need to equip personnel with the right skills and knowledge to promote a more efficient well-trained and highly motivated workforce.”
