Former Abia State Governor and Chairman of the Senate Committee on the South-East Development Commission (SEDC), Orji Uzor Kalu, has extended warm birthday wishes to the Managing Director of the Commission, Mark Okoye Jnr.
In a goodwill message on his official social media platform yesterday, Senator Kalu described Okoye as a “dear brother” and commended his efforts in advancing the objectives of the newly established Commission aimed at revitalising the South-East region.
“Happy birthday to my dear brother and Managing Director of the South East Development Commission (SEDC), Mark Okoye Jnr. May your days be filled with joy, and may the year ahead bring you continued success and fulfilment in your important work,” Kalu wrote.
The former governor expressed confidence in Okoye’s leadership, emphasising that his youthful energy and passion for development were already yielding visible impacts. He assured the SEDC boss of the Senate Committee’s support in driving meaningful progress across the region.
Kalu, who has remained a vocal advocate for regional development and unity, also highlighted the importance of collaborative leadership between the Commission and lawmakers to address the pressing socio-economic needs of the South East zone.
