kaduna State Police Command has arrested over 525 suspects, rescued 85 victims and recovered rounds of live ammunition in Idasu village, Giwa Local Government. Commissioner of Police, Abdullahi Ibrahim, said: “This period of Yuletide, we will flush criminals out of the state.
“I have urged officers to go after the hoodlums, the state will be too hot for them to operate. The command is not taken chances when going after criminals. This resulted in significant operational successes with the unwavering dedication and professionalism of our officers and men.
“The command recorded breakthrough in arresting suspects involved in various criminal activities. Suspects arrested included 25 kidnappers, 12 cattle rustlers, 97 phone snatchers, 17 car snatchers and 10 rapists.
“Police also arrested suspected gang leader of a kidnapping syndicate in Kubau LG. He confessed to collecting N45million ransom. Eighty-nine victims were rescued and recovered fabricated AK47 rifles and live ammunition.
“We raided hideouts of bandits attempting to kidnap farmers harvesting beans in Kidandan, Giwa LG. The police operatives arrested suspected armed robbers along Ung/ Shanu-Ung/Sarki highway.
“The command is committed to maintaining public safety and order. We will not hesitate to arrest and prosecute anyone found culpable.”
