Kaduna State government, yesterday, visited some soldiers in the military hospital who were wounded in the course of fighting insurgents over the years.

Shortly after the ceremony at the main bowl of Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Speaker of the House of Assembly, Yusuf Liman Dahiru, accompanied by other dignitaries, visited the wounded soldiers at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital.

The visit was aimed at  boosting the morale of the brave soldiers recovering from their injuries.

The Speaker represented Governor Uba Sani to pay tribute to the nation’s fallen heroes, and stated that, “Their sacrifices will never be forgotten, and we will continue to honor their memory.”

The ceremony was attended by top government officials, military personnel, heads of security agencies in the state, traditional leaders and other stakeholders, demonstrating a united front in honoring the nation’s fallen heroes and supporting the military’s efforts to ensure peace and security.

Governor  Sani reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the military in their efforts to ensure peace and security in the state.

The governor also commended the military for their bravery and sacrifice in tackling insecurity in Kaduna and Nigeria as a whole.

Governor Sani emphasised that security was  a collective effort and pledged to continue supporting the military and other security agencies to achieve a peaceful and secure state.

“We are here to remember our fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for the peace and security of the nation.Their sacrifices will never be forgotten, and we will continue to honor their memory.

“We commend the military for their efforts in tackling insecurity in Kaduna and Nigeria. Their bravery and sacrifice are appreciated, and we will continue to support them.

“We will continue to support the military and other security agencies in their efforts to ensure peace and security in Kaduna State.

“We believe that security is a collective effort, and we will continue to work together to achieve our goal of a peaceful and secure state.”

Additionally, he promised to prioritize the welfare of widows and orphans of fallen heroes, ensuring that they are empowered and lifted out of poverty.
