The Nigerian Police Machine Football Club Benin City is N1 million richer as it retained the 2025 edition of ‘KADA UNITY CUP’ military and Para- military football competition which came to end over the weekend in Benin-City.
Police Machine FC emerged winners after beating the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) by 4-2 in a highly contested fiesta.
The event which held at the popular Chief Lucky Igbinedion Sports Complex in Etete, Benin City attracted a lot of football pundits in the state. The participants commended the sponsor, Chief Lucky Nosaghare Igbinedion for his contributions to sports development in the State.
Commanders of all Military and Para -military organisations in the state were at the epoch event to grace the occasion and also support their organisations to victory.
The two-time governor of Edo State, Chief Igbinedion, has promised to make the competition a national affair were all agencies of military and para -military organisation would participate to foster oneness and create understanding among uniformed people in the country.
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) FC defeated the (DSS) FC 4/1 to win the third place position.
Awards of various types were presented to clubs and individuals for their outstanding performance
The winners got N1 million, the second placed, NSCDC got N500,000 while Nigeria Air Force (NAF) received N300,000.
The Highest Goal Scorer award and MVP award went to NAF while the best goalkeepers award went to Okoro of DSS FC. Coach of the Tournament went to Nigeria Immigration Service FC, while the Nigerian Army FC won the Fair Play award.
