It is believed that love is a beautiful thing, but Nollywood actress, Bukola Ikumola, has never been lucky in finding true love.
In a recent encounter with Saturday Sun, the script interpreter shared some of her unpleasant experiences.
She said: “I’ve never been lucky when it comes to relationships. Like this past Valentine’s Day, I was on a one-month series set and it was just like a normal day. I do not value such days. It’s just my way. I’ve never enjoyed love or romance on Valentine’s Day, or ever gotten a gift because all my ex-boyfriends were unromantic. I have a very unpleasant Valentine’s Day experience. That day, my friend and I went to surprise her boyfriend and we met another girl there. It was funny and sad though because I had not experienced such before. It wasn’t my day that was ruined but that of my girlfriend. I felt pity for her.”
The Ondo-born entrepreneur, who deals in adult toys, further revealed that she is proud of her business, despite society’s perception.
She said: “The sale of sex toys is just a side hustle and it does not affect my acting career in any way. I’m an actress of outstanding talents and my presence always adds magic to any film or video that I feature in. Also, there’s nothing to be shy or shamed about. The pleasure of sex toys is just like the appreciation of a delicious meal prepared with exotic ingredients. Or the pleasure of listening to jazz played with a variety of excellent musical instruments. My family members are fully supportive of what I do. My man should never feel threatened by sex toys. A real man knows they can never replace him, so he gives his woman complete liberty and sexual independence.”
