Organizer of the 2023 Power and Water Nigeria exhibition, Vertex Group, has narrated the impact of technology in Nigeria stating the sector has helped reduce unemployment, strengthen educational standard and as well remains source of civilization in the country.

 

This assertion was made by Shitij Taneja, Chief Commercial Officer, Vertex Group, during the opening ceremony of the three days exhibition which commenced on Tuesday, 4th of July at Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event which hosted seventy firms who displayed goods and services before guests and admires also highlighted the importance of transmission and distribution, power generation, hydro power, water treatment, energy management and renewable energy.

” The idea behind this event is that energy consumption and saving is getting higher this days in Nigeria. We came from Indian to realize technology is the way forward in this country and I can assure you there’s a lot of investment coming soon to do this business. Our aim is to digitalize Nigeria and Africa as a whole. In the coming edition in 2024, our theme will be tagged digital energy in Africa and this will help compliment what we’re talking about.

Technology is not only limited to energy. We’ve seen so many in healthcare. Even doctors and surgeon educates themselves through smart phones. We now have many teaching classes here online which has really improved the skill. Technology improves educational quality in this aspect.

In a similar vein, the exhibition also featured way forward conference with over fifty industry leaders such as sustainable and green business solutions technology showcased by over hundred exhibitors.
