The governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Uche Ben Odunzeh, in the November 11 poll, has received the backing of the women and youths of Eke Mgbidi in Oru West Local Government Area of Imo State.
Odunzeh, who took his campaign to the Eke mgbidi at the weekend was received by traders and youths of the area, who said they were pleased with his manifesto of alleviating the plights.
He reiterated his willingness to revamp agriculture, provide free education and put an end to killings and kidnappings that has become a permanent fixture in the state.
Odunzeh said: “I have come to serve Imo state and so I will be a servant leader that shall prioritize the welfare of imo state and her people.
“I can see the disbelief in your faces but be assured that my administration will restore your confidence in government. This is going to be the true government of the people by the people”
“I know the peculiarities , the challenges, the needs and we are going to hit the ground running to serve your diverse interest.”
One of the leaders, Emeka Mbanefo, prayed and assured him of their support, stating that his posture and manifesto stands tall among other contenders.
“We will support you because your plan for the state is unique and that has given us confidence in your personality.
“As a young man will have the conviction that you will deploy your positive energy in the service of the state and be rest assured that Mgbidi will vote for you on Saturday”
“Please don’t fail us. We are tired of suffering and failed promises.”
