The senator representing Imo East senatorial district and the leader of the Peoples’ Movement, Sen. Ezenwa Onyewuchi has commissioned a 500KVA transformer substation at Ihenworie Ogwuama Ahiara in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.
He also commissioned a 10,000 capacity solar powered borehole with solar street lights at Christ Anglican Church, Owerri. The facilities will serve the church and five schools within the church premises.
The Vicar/Archdeacon of the church, Ven. Simeon Duruji (PhD) commended the senator for his continuous support to the church, pointing out that recently, he embarked on free medical outreach, eye treatment and health insurance enrolment from which members of the church benefited. The Vicar also presented an award to the senator in recognition of his unwavering support and commitment towards service to humanity.
Also speaking at the commissioning of the 500KVA transformer substation at Ogwuama Ahiara, Ahiazu Mbaise, the traditional ruler of the community, Eze Sabinus Nwaneche, thanked the senator for being a great friend of the people and for his various projects and empowerment programmes that have been of immense benefit to them.
He commended the lawmaker for constructing a brand new 500KVA transformer substation which has solved the electricity problem in his community.
While promising to bring the dividend of democracy to Ogwuama and Ahiazu, Sen. Onyewuchi said that he was propelled by his commitment to serve God and humanity.
The Ogwuama Progressives (Home and Abroad) presented an award to the senator in appreciation of his good representation of Imo East senatorial zone.
