In a heartwarming gesture, the Goodluck Nwaneri Foundation flagged off its free Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS) distribution to 4,000 commercial bus drivers in Imo State.

The Director General of the Foundation, Excel Chimere, noted that the move is aimed at alleviating the financial burden caused by the high cost of petrol.

“We understand the struggles of these drivers, who often can’t afford more than two litres of fuel at a time due to family commitments and economic hardship,” he said.

Also, Favour Amajuoyi, Coordinator of the Foundation, highlighted the organisation’s focus on bringing joy to the people of Imo State.

“All we do is make people happy,” Amajuoyi said. “Their happiness matters more to us, as you can see from the smiles on the drivers’ faces.”

Godswill Uzoma, one of the beneficiaries, thanked the Foundation’s president and prayed for his continued benevolence.

Each driver received five litres of fuel from the Foundation.

The free fuel distribution will take place for a whole week at designated filling stations in Owerri.

Prior to this initiative, the Foundation, Chimere further explained, had sponsored the registration of 480 students for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams, demonstrating its commitment to supporting education and economic empowerment in the community.
