Emoseh Khamofu, the Nigerian singer better known as Bloody Civilian, has withdrawn her remark about being a lesbian.
Earlier on Saturday, Bloody Civilian revealed her sexuality on her X page, explaining that she could no longer hide her actual nature.
“Im actually a lesbian. Can’t hide it anymore,” she wrote.
However, her remark prompted outrage, with some users flinging vitriol and accusing her of encouraging “abnormality” and seeking to “corrupt” kids’ brains.
While some fans stated that she was pulling a public stunt to promote an upcoming song.
Hours later, Bloody Civilian retracted her statement, saying “I’m not a lesbian.”
She revealed that she is participating in a game show, with the first episode airing on February 7.
Bloody Civilian is a songwriter and producer signed to 0207 Def Jam, Def Jam Recordings’ UK affiliate.
She is most known for her tracks ‘How To Kill A Man’ and ‘Wake Up’, which feature Rema.
Her song with Rema was included in the 2022 American superhero blockbuster ‘Black Panther’.
