The Totooba Great Estate Community Development Area (CDA) in Ikorodu, Lagos State, has made significant strides in enhancing security and infrastructure.
Chairman Joshua Akindele announced at the community’s end-of-year party that the CDA has improved security for residents and aims for 100 percent security soon.
He praised his predecessor, Jaji Waheed and founding members for establishing the community’s groundwork.
“The community was officially named Totooba Great Estate CDA, registered under the Ikorodu Local Government and subsequently with the state government. Kudos to the foundation members for laying this solid groundwork.” Akindele said installation of 45 electric poles to enhance power distribution, installation of 45 security lights and security solar lights to improve safety across the community was achieved with the cooperation of residents.
“Construction of two giant community gates to ensure controlled access and security, completion of our community secretariat, which will serve as an administrative hub for the CDA and digging of a 1,500-foot gutter across the community to improve drainage,” he stated.
CDA executives include Joshua Oloruntoba, vice chairman, Mrs. Thomas Oluyemi, general secretary, Jaji Waheed, ex-officio, Adebanjo, treasurer, Mrs. Omolara Alayonde, financial secretary, Sunday Oviomiho, welfare, Abimbola Oshinbowale, social welfare, Esther Holo, asst general secretary and Pastor Oladapo, PRO.
