The Igbo community in Kogi central has described the death of a foremost traditional ruler in kogi state and the Ohinoyi of Ebira land Dr Ado Ibrahim as a great loss describing him as father to all who treated indigenes and non indigenes as one.

The revered monarch who was the vice president of kogi traditional council and a highly successful industrialist died in the early hours of Sunday at the age of 95.

In a press statement made available to newsmen in lokoja on Monday, the president general of Igbo community in the kogi central, Chief Joe Anikwe described the late Monarch as a great man who lived a fulfilled life.

Chief Anikwe described the late Ohinoyi as highly accommodating, loving , peaceful and a man whose reign witnessed unprecedented developments in Ebira land.

The statement reads in part; ” the late Ohinoyi of Ebira land was indeed a father to all of us, he hated injustice and any form of discrimination, he was kind ,straight forward and a man of peace

“The entire Igbo community in the central senatorial district love his kind disposition not only to us as a people but to other ethnic nationalities residing in his domain,he was large hearted and a very reliable father, highly respected traditional ruler both within the state , in Nigeria and outside Nigeria

“We , the Igbo people in kogi central wish to commissirate with his Excellency, the executive governor of Kogi state, the immediate family of the respected Monarch, the entire Ebira Nation and indeed kogi state and Nigeria at large for the demise of this our revered monarch and pray for the peaceful repose of his soul,” the statement added.
