The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), South East Zone, has commiserated with government of Oyo state over the recent explosion that rocked Ibadan and claimed many lives.

The National Vice Chairman of the party, Chief Ali Odefa, in his condolence message to Governor Seyi Makinde, expressed grief over the sad incident.

“I would like to extend my deep commiseration to you and the entire people of Oyo State, on the unfortunate explosion that occurred in Bodija, which led to multiple deaths, multiple injuries, and loss of property”

“No words can express our utter shock and dismay on learning about this sad occurrence. Nonetheless, we are impressed with your swift response to the incident. Your unequivocal admonition of those behind the root cause of the explosion; your communication of government’s relief measures which includes offsetting of medical bills, and provision of temporary accommodation to the displaced victims, is a clear depiction of courage, compassion, dedication to duty and a mark of respect for the dignity of human life.”

Chief Odefa further said “In these extremely difficult times, we pray that you and the families of those who lost their lives; the injured survivors, as well as those whose properties were affected, can find the fortitude and patience to ease your pain and bear the unfortunate losses.”
