…Warns against repeat of Bayelsa episode
From Ndubuisi Orji, Benin
One of the aspirant in today’s All Progressives Congress(APC) gubernatorial aspirant, Mr Ken Imasuangbon has said he will beat Governor Adams Oshiomhole’s preferred, Godwin Obaseki silly in the primaries if the process is free and credible.
However, he warned against the repeat of what happened in Bayelsa when thugs took over the gubernatorial primaries of the party recently.
Imasuangbon, who spoke in an interview with Daily Sun in Benin said he is the candidate to beat.
“Edo central has spoken. And Edo state will speak in my favour. There is only one candidate, the Rice Man, Ken Imasaungbon.
“Who is the man that feeds the poor, gives scholarship, who is the man that stepped down for Oshiomhole in 2006, and gave him three buses, Ken Imasaugbon.
I will defeat Obaseki; all I ask for is free and fair election. But will this election be free and fair; I have my fears. We don’t want the Bayelsa experience, where thugs will took over the process.” he said.
