Deputy Registrar of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Adeola Adekola, has refuted media reports that he was involved in any double salary scam.
Adeola, who was responding through his lawyer, Ajibola Kaka, described the story as an attempt by mischief-makers to scuttle his ambition of becoming the next registrar of the university.
He specifically referred to a news report in the Daily Sun on May 21, 2024, under the headline: “Varsity, deputy registrar trade words over double salary.”
Adeola lamented that the report presented him in bad light before the public as he was never involved in the act as reported in the story.
“Writing under the headline, ‘Varsity, deputy registrar trade words over double salary’, your said reporter, not only fabricated and presented untruth but, threw caution to the winds to satisfy his urge in spite of the interview granted him by our client to clear up his misconception.
“For a fact, there exists no iota of truth in the said allegation as our client is not having any issue regarding ‘double salary’, at all,” Adeola’s lawyer said.
