After long years of pushing through alone in the music industry, Studio Boy’s vocal caught the attention of a close friend and he was introduced to DYH Crew with a debut song titled “The Code”. Thereafter, he got signed to DYH Records Label.
The versatile artiste loves to express his inner feelings through music such as Afro Pop, High Life, DanceHall and R & B. His songs, Odun, The Code and Telle Mi, is currently enjoying massive airplay on broadcast stations in the country. He featured artistes like Burna Boy, Davido, Tiwa Savage Wizkid, Fireboy, T-Classic, Rema, Zlatan, Naira Marley among others in his songs.
He believes collaborating with other artistes is good because a tree doesn’t make a forest. Music is beautiful in different ways because artistes sing differently, bringing two or more different artistes in a song makes the song to be unique. It is also a way of connecting to more fans through my music and making history.
Studio Boy, an indigene of Ezia Local Government, Ebonyi State is currently signed with DYH Records Label with mouth watering deal.
Studio Boy explains how he got his stage name from his sister’s boy friend, who was a producer. “ I went to the studio one night after it has been closed to learn how to make rhythms because I was in charge of keeping the key. Unfortunately, I spoilt the studio system but funny enough instead of them to scold me they decided to make fun of me by calling me Studio Boy, ever since people have called me that name.
He explains his song, Telle Mi (Follow Me), is a song which explains how a guy falls in love with a lady and how the lady tells him that she will stay and support him no matter his challenges!
Talking about his contract with DYH Records Label, he says Nobody owns nobody for ever. Some day a child will grow but that doesn’t mean he won’t go back to his parents. DYH Record Label is like a family to me and not just a record label company. I am here to pave ways for the young ones coming in to enjoy and for legacy and there is nothing like leaving or breaking up DYH Records in future
