… Commends President Mahama on his Good Friday message
The Eze Ndigbo Ghana, HRM Eze Dr Chukwudi Ihenetu, has joined his voice with that of other world leaders to salute Christians as they celebrate Easter.
In a special Easter goodwill message issued from his revered Obiukwu Obieziokwu palace in Ghana, the Amigbo Nwagele Imo state-born Royal Father said Easter is a reminder that no matter our past, we have permission to leave it behind and embrace the hope and joy of a new life in Christ—forgiven of all our sins and as such must show love to all and sundry.
Furthermore, HRM Ihenetu said Easter marks the triumphant victory of Jesus Christ over death and the grave, demonstrating His power to conquer sin and offer eternal life to all who believe in his death as means of salvation to mankind.
While drawing inspiration from the sermon of President of Ghana, His Excellency John Mahama during his good Friday message at the Good Friday miracle service held at black Star square and hosted by Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills, in Ghana, President Mahama had said: “We must assist each other, love one another, and help each other carry the burdens that they had in life.
“Their are many around us who are struggling not only spiritually but also physically.
“Some are struggling emotionally and materially. There are people here who haven’t eaten today – just because they do not have what it takes to buy a meal. And that’s why Christ expected us to share generously. There are others too who have in abundance. ‘You ate lunch before coming here, and you will also eat dinner when you get home, Those with abundance must help lift the needy even if it is for a meal.” he said.
HRM Ihenetu, who has helped many through his Eze Ndigbo foundation NGO, called on Nigerian in the spirit of Easter to reach out to the needy as this will tally with Christ message of love and hospitality.
