The National Coordinator of the Disciples of Jagaban (DOJ), Comrade Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje has said that victory recorded at off season elections have shown that the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has the capacity and capability to lead the party to the promised land.

Comrade Alawuje also noted that Ganduje’s leadership quality has turned APC to nightmare for the opposition parties to withstand its winning formula in the off cycle elections conducted so far, adding that subsequent elections will be a walk over for the ruling party.

The National Coordinator of DOJ in a statement on Tuesday said, “Experience, capacity capability, tolerance and large-heartedness of the leadership of the Abdullahi Umar Ganduje-led All Progressives Congress (APC) has practically turned the party to the nightmare of all the major opposition parties in Nigeria.

“Ganduje’s political sagacity earned him successes in the recent Imo and Kogi States gubernatorial election, just as he is about to reclaim the APC mandate in Kano, Zamfara and Plateau States.

“Like the President, like the Chairman! With the duo of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Ganduje, major opposition parties already know they are in for difficult times in the political field of play.

“Underrate Ganduje at your peril. Judging the former Kano State governor from a distance because of his lackluster look and underrating him by his unintelligent look may truly be misleading. You may never know how skillful and how intelligent he is.

“However, those who know Ganduje too well, including the opposition that have experienced his fight will testify to his doggedness as a fighter who mostly keeps his plans to his chest and hit at you when you least expected.

“I met with Ganduje several times as a governor, I have equally interacted with him at various occasions, and I can confirm to you that he is a cool-headed politician, an accurate political calculator who now have a political transformer as President.

“I personally admire Ganduje’s style of politics. His political scheme and calculations are always difficult to fathom by the novice and that quality makes his political enemies find him difficult to challenge.

“Unlike his lousy opponents, Ganduje is a silent achiever. He is a drum filled with water – it makes no noise. Empty barrel, they say, makes the loudest noise.

“As we all know, Tinubu is always painstaking in his appointments into strategic positions, hence, he took his time in search of a champion to drive the ruling party. As the Commander in Chief, Tinubu simply looked for someone who could allow him go to bed with his two eyes closed.

“It’s only hoped that others who have been appointed into strategic positions perform and deliver like Ganduje.

“Of course, we are beginning to witness a ray of hope and improvements in many ministries such as: Power Sector, under the leadership of Mr Bayo Adelabu who recently got commendations from the leadership of the National Assembly. Of course, Ministries of Works, Interior, Aviation, Technology and many more, including the FCT are already showing some signs of hope.

“With stability within the party as well as the two houses of the National Assembly, Tinubu seems to be fully in charge administratively and politically.

“And with the combination of Tinubu-Ganduje the ruling party doesn’t seem to have meaningful opposition for now. It’s hoped they will wake up before 2027.

“Because of his taciturnity and covert plans, Ganduje performs like magician and his target could be predicted even before takes his moves. As a matter of fact, there is no political party in Nigeria that can boast of the kind of leadership of the Ganduje-led APC.

“I was once in a meeting with Vice President Kashim Shettima few weeks after the presidential primary, where he also affirmed Ganduje’s political intelligence.

“Undoubtedly, APC got it right this time on the choice of its chairman. So, as Nigerians, we can only pray for a sustained stability so that, on one hand, the government can be more focused in the delivery of good governance, and on the other, citizens can bountifully feel and reap the dividends of democracy as well as experience positive governance like never before in the history of Nigeria”.
