Kofoworola Onanuga, Chief Operations Officer, Obiwezy Enterprises, on its journey to becoming a technological advanced company, in this interview, explains the steps it is taking to achieve this feat.
You are in the e-commerce sector, providing IT solutions. What inspired this line of business?
My husband’s dream was to sell convenience and mine was to create the structure around any business.
What challenges do you face in the sector?
Price uniformity, talent wars, lack of sensitization of government agencies, scammer and impersonators, trollers, irregular government policies as we don’t know which is which…etc
What problems are you currently solving with your business?
The fact that we sell convenience cannot be overemphasized and that’s one problem we are solving there. Another one is with our unique technological products, we are solving the challenge of low-standard products.
How would you rate your journey to being the most technologically advanced platform for innovative smartphone buy-back solutions?
We are not where we started, however, we are moving really quickly and stealthily.
As a computer science graduate as well as a program analyst, what are your contributions to Obiwezy?
Continuous Website development, human resources management system (HRMS) implementation, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) deployment.
What goals do you seek to achieve with Obiwezy?
Extensive e-commerce. The market is wide and largely untapped so we are looking forward to doing it big time, extensively.
How do you weigh progress and success?
Our reach and revenue tells us on a periodic basis how good and progressive we are. That also shows our strength and weakness points, as well as what steps we should take to address it in the case of our weaknesses.

We will not let the cat out of the bag yet, but be expectant.

Quite a number of diversification across all quarters in the sectors is what we see as the major trend.
