In daylight, your skin will appear either pink, yellow, or olive. If the skin has pink undertones, I look for lipsticks with cool shades such as mauve or plum. If the skin has yellow undertones, I go for warm shades like peach or coral. And if the skin appears olive, I opt for lipsticks with neutral shades such as nude or brown. With so many options available, it can be challenging to find out which shade is right for you but make sure you understand your skin tone to pick the best shade according to your style.”

Find your skin tone by looking at your hand’s veins.

Many people find it hard to understand their skin tone, but Mimie has a simple trick that can help. “I learned this trick from a friend in Dubai, and it works like magic every time. She told me that if you’re ever stuck trying to figure out what lipstick shade to use, there’s a quick and easy way to determine which shade will look best on you. Just take a look at the veins on the inside of your wrist.

If they appear to be green, then you have a warm skin tone and should look for lipsticks with orange or red undertones to make your lips look vibrant. If your veins look blue, you have a calm skin tone and should seek out lipsticks with pink or purple hues. And if your veins appear to mix both colors, you have a neutral skin tone and can pull off any lipstick shade. Trust me, this trick works, and I’ve been following it ever since.”

This is just a mere glimpse into the world of Mimie’s makeup. She has much more to share. You can get new makeup ideas on her YouTube channel. Additionally, make sure you follow her on Twitter and Instagram to know when she will drop her next video and blog.
