Heels and Tech, a leading edtech training platform in Africa, has contributed greatly to helping immigrants contribute to the international workforce.

This noteworthy organization has shared with us how African immigrants are making a great impact in the international community and reshaping businesses abroad.

Immigration has increased in the country lately and several factors contribute to this. Many migrate for the sake of their jobs, labour opportunities or to study. In some cases, people migrate because of marriage or to join their relatives. Of all these factors, labour opportunities are a significant factor in why people migrate from Africa to other continents.
Black African immigrants increased in number by 246% between 2000 and 2019, going from roughly 600,000 to 2.0 million. It is anticipated that migration will continue to increase during the ensuing decades.

Immigration does not only benefit the immigrants, it also benefits the country they move to. Immigration has been seen to increase labour force size, which in turn increases potential economic output and productivity.

Oftentimes, African immigrants are well-educated and well-skilled and have the potential to contribute immensely to the economic growth of the new country.

Many African immigrants are making noteworthy contributions to international business.

They have shaped a place for themselves in the workforce abroad and are hired by top organizations to join in increasing their productivity.

One of the many sectors where African Immigrants are making great contributions is the tech sector. With the whole world moving in the direction of advanced digital technology, many organizations need hands to man their growth in digital technology and make them visible to the digital world.

Africans who have been properly trained in any of the areas of tech in high demand today are hired by these organizations and often immigrate to find such opportunities. Africans who move for reasons other than work —like education, marriage or family— often take tech training to still be able to earn and contribute in the new country.
