Sunday, September  15, was indeed a remarkable  day in the life of Hon. Chief  Iheanyichukwu Ugochukwu as Eze Ndigbo  Ghana, HRM Eze. Dr. Amb.Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu  honoured  him chieftaincy title of Obiomanyìruwa.

 

The event was part of activities marking the Iriji/Igbo Day festival 2024 in Ghana.

When it was his turn to be honoured,  Hon Chief Ugochukwu  was decorated  with bead, red cap, and anklet even as he received  Royal Blessings  from His Royal Majesty, HRM  Ihenetu.

 

Speaking  to the media shortly  after the investiture,  Hon Chief Ugochukwu, popularly  known as Hon Prince, Ugo thanked Almighty  God for a day like this. Ĥe equally  thanked HRM Ihenetu and Igbo Community for finding him worthy  of recognition. “Today, I was bestowed  with the chieftaincy title of ‘Obiomayinruwa’. I am humbled by this honour given to me by His Royal Majesty, Eze Ihenetu. I promised that I would use the title  to uplift Igbo culture and help the less privileged.”
