A Vice-President of Galatasaray has disclosed that the transfer of Victor Osimhen from Napoli will be completed in the next 24 hours.
“Our President and Vice-President Abdullah Kavukcu have been tasked with this (signing Osimhen). We’ve made the necessary offer to Napoli for Osimhen. The matter will be resolved in the next 24 hours,” Vice-President Metin Ozturk told the Turkish Financial Ordinary General Meeting in Ankara.
“Osimhen definitely wants to come to Galatasaray. We also want Osimhen to be with us. But he is currently a Napoli player.”
Galatasaray has agreed to pay Napoli the €75 million release clause for Osimhen with the Italian champion demanding bank guarantees for this payment.
The Turkish champion has also agreed personal terms with the player.
Meanwhile, according to Caught Offside, Napoli is preparing to step up the pursuit of Darwin Núñez, as the Uruguayan is the club’s primary target.
After selling Osimhen, Napoli is set for new round of talks for Darwin Nunez as Uruguayan striker remains the main, dream target.
With Osimhen set for Turkey, Napoli has now shifted focus towards landing the former Benfica man as its marquee attacking signing this summer.
Latest report from Italy has it that delegates from Galatasaray have finished meeting to discuss the deal for Napoli, following the Turkish’s side’s decision to pay the full €75m release clause in the Nigeria international’s contract.

“We’re working on it, let’s see how it goes,” were the comments provided by intermediary Gardi. “There is a desire, evidently. Let’s see,” he added.
Osimhen spent the 2024-25 season on loan in Istanbul after seeing a permanent move away from Napoli fall through on the final day of the transfer window in the summer of 2024.
