While the police are still battling to arrest the culprits behind the shooting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ward chairman, Charles Oke, in Ogbaku, Mbaitoli council area of Imo State, last the weekend, a High Court was also been razed by the hoodlums on Sunday.
A source from the area disclosed that the gunmen stormed the court located inside the Oguta Local Government at about 11pm and set it on fire.
The source, who didn’t want his name to be mentioned, said the Magistrate’s Court Registry, Appeal Court Record Office, File Room, Secretary to the High Court Judge’s office, office of the High Court bailiff and the Chamber of the High Court Judge were badly affected.
Another source from the community, who confirmed the incident to Daily Sun, said: “Yes,it’s true. I saw with my own eyes, the incident happened on Sunday night; but we thank God no life was lost in the fire.”
